After doing this web site, I decided that perhaps one should know about me, the person. I was born in New Brunswick, Canada. This Province is primarily an agricultural area. Hosting world known industries such as, McCains and Cavendish Farms. I grew up on a dairy farm, where my father bred, exhibited holestine cattle. We were no strangers at the annual exhibition each year. We also were the first farm to produce cattle through artificial insemination. I have had Basenjis for over 30 years, and have bred top dogs in this country for many years. Also, to our credit I bred, handled the BEST IN SHOW, MULTIPLE BEST IN SHOW, BOB WINNER at the BASENJI CLUB OF AMERICAN NATIONAL SPECIALTY, AM. CAN. CH. CONAMORE SUN AND JASMINE. I have been an All-breed Canada Licensed Dog Judge since 1991 (reaching all breed status). I have judged many National Specialties of many differed breeds through my career. I have judged in many countries including the Kennel Club of England (their criteria being such that, to me, this was one of my greatest achievements). I have judged in Australia, Mexico, South America, England, USA and Canada, extensively. However, my greatest love are my dogs. Along with Basenjis (Riser, Spud and Tirzah). I have had Scottish Deerhounds since the 80's. As well, my husband comes from Wales, where his brother founded the famous 'Cedewain' Welsh Terrier Kennels. Bill Egerton bred the Welsh Terrier that sired BIS at Crufts some years ago, and Cedewain has a place forever in the Welsh Terrier history of famous dogs/and breeders.
